Hey Fighting C0ckers, wake up!!!

Từ đầu năm con Chuột đến giờ, Fighting C0cks FC chưa thắng trận nào. Thi đấu 2 trận thì 1 hòa (2-2 against St Andrew's), 1 thua (2-3 against Central Park FC). Mặc dù biết là do dư âm của Tết nhưng mà đề nghị các Fighting C0ckers (certainly myself included) nghiêm túc kiểm điểm lại bản thân. It's not the same anymore, all the publicity, from The Newpaper, or ESPZEN League, or what the ever fcuk not only bring us fame, but also bring us unwanted disadvantage. Opponents will treat us as team to beat. They will take a very cautious, and also very fierce approach against us.

My post today is not about yesterday match. No one was at fault yesterday, it's a team's fault. We played at a team, lost as a team. I just want to share some experience on the way we approach the game. It's obvious that the field at AR-JAS is very good, and we play very well there. But come on, be realistic, we cannot play all the games there. And a strong team, a contender for championship do not rely only on the field to do the works. If other teams can survive, can play well on other fields than AR-JAS, why can't we?

In the game against St Andrew's, the opponent was obviously afraid of us as they lost to us twice. Hence, they used all kind of tricks to frustrate us, to make us lost concentration to the game. I sometimes use this very same tactic to harass the opponent. The trick is to play rough on the opponent and then abuse them verbally. Some of us turned mad in that game, and talked back to them, or worse, hit them back in a very obvious way, which then led to several yellow cards. Come on, it's not the way. To counter the trick, you just need to keep quiet and let your legs do the talking. Sometimes, just smile back to them and nod your heads, kind like "I'm fully agreeabe to all your talkings, pls continue your talks while I'm playing". I'm sure when you score the goal, or getting pass them, they will be more frustrated. It's also from my own experience, when I did this trick and the opponent still can score, I feel even more hurt and damn painful inside my feeling.

In yesterday game also, we can't expect the referee to be always fair, even at pro level, the ref still make some not-so-correct judgement. What to do? It's parts and parcel of the game. Be a man, take it in, and transfer it to energy to win the game, to revenge the frustration on the opponents. If you cannot control your temper and really want to throw it out, do it in a smart way, and make the team less suffer. If you know you are going to get a yellow card for a challenge, make it worth the damage. Look at Nam's feet, the opponent got yellow card but he (the opponent) also reduced the dangerous on the left side as Nam suffered from pain and could not continue to play as well as before.

I donot ask you to play dirty, but play tough, play rough to show that we are not a pushover little boys. To show the opponents that although we are tiny size compare to their gigantic figures, but we are not intimidated by the physics difference. In fact, they may look big, but their fitness level are not so far better than us. The only thing their size comes to help is their powerful long shot. That's why we need the midfielders, and defenders as well, to quickly block the opponents, donot let them have a few seconds free on the ball. As such very short moment can give them enough times to unleash a thunderous shot toward our poor GK, Quang Anh. Why had I slide too much and commit so many fouls yesterday? Because I didn't want another shot from them like the 1st goal. With a very slippery surface, it's very easy for us to unbalance ourselves, hence I choose not to go face-off challenge and use the tackle instead.

So far, from what I saw, only Cuong Ma and qTheBoss still show the toughness in their playing. Thai and warlock used to be tougher, but dunno why, now they are not as rough as before. But please also note that play rough do not mean just anyhow commit a foul. Always go for the ball first, leg later. Playing tough means fighting to get the ball back, don't give away possession so cheaply, be not so easily pushed to the ground. One of my coach told me definition of playing tough "Go for the ball in all 50-50 situation, just go for it, see who blink first. Those who hesitate will not reach the ball earlier than those who not". If you are waiting for the ball to come to you, must look out for any opponents who are coming to intercept, use your body and your strength to keep them out, block the ball. Don't just stand there and wait for the ball. Always go for the 1st ball, if you miss then continue to go for the 2nd ball. Even if you know that you may not jump as high as the opponent, you still need to jump with him to compete for the ball. Your jumping may not make you get the ball, but at least unbalance the opponent, don't give him free time on the ball.

That's several thing from my experience. I mean to share only, not to "teach". As I myself is not perfect. As cVu mentioned, my 1st touch is everywhere. Besides, my ball control, dribbling skill, speed are far away below your level. My only good points are physical challenge, positioning, defence with all my heart, roughness, and a few dirty tricks.

Please start the winning way again. Wake up and be the real Fighting C0ckers, show the whole S'pore social soccer world how mighty we are!!!

very good report written by aPhuc. must get back to winning ways guys. if you get a red card, make sure u get a damn controversial and if possible, bloody one ;). If you have an open goal in front of you, make sure that you SCORE ;). If u try to bend it like Beckham, make sure that the ball is out of reach of the keeper. If you try to make a clearance, make sure that the ball go as far as possible. And several other things... anyways, next game is at JAS, must get at least 6 goals against those Japs ya. keep fit and see u guys on Sun...

i think it is morally reprehensible of the first comment to tell your players to make sure to get a bloody red card. What a lack of honor. One of these days, you're going to get your leg broken if you play that way.

i think you have got me wrong and i think its either because you are not in the team or simply because you juz want to pull my leg or something. But rest assured that honor has always been our team number 1 virtue. We are always the ones that got bullied and pushed around. By saying that, i just wanted to psyche my players up encourage them to play harder. And even if they foul the opponent, make sure the foul is worthy of the consequences that follow. Anyways, if you are one of us, you should have known us better... we have always been among the fairest team in all the leagues that we joined so far... Just so you know.. Vu

"But rest assured that honor has always been our team number 1 virtue."

"And even if they foul the opponent, make sure the foul is worthy of the consequences that follow"

These two statements are contradictory. You are advocating the principle that if you get a red card, make sure you hurt the opponent such that he cannot continue playing.

It is a cowardly and morally reprehensible approach to playing football. Like I said, you're going to get your legs broken one day if you subscribe to playing this way.

First and foremost, this blog and the comments inside are supposed to be used internally among the members of the team. Those statements might have struck a bad impression about us, yet they do not carry any malicious intent as they seem. They are just ways for us to communicate to each other and if u notice carefully, behind them, i always added a smiley face. Some of them are also insider-jokes that only the team members would understand and outsider like you might have an impression that we are just a blood-thirsty and violent bunch. Im sure that is just a misunderstanding and everyone and i mean EVERYONE who knows us or have played against us (EXCEPT THE NTU GUYS) would testify to this fact. I do not know your intent of leaving comments with an Anonymous name and judgind negatively about us but below are the things that i think about you,

1. You just want to irritate the hell out of me and the other team-members.

2. "And even if they foul the opponent, make sure the foul is worthy of the consequences that follow" --> If you are a soccer player, one who has played competitive football, you would know what they call a 'stupid' foul. Fouling the opponents are part and parcel of the game. It is in fact, considered to be an art as if being executed at the right place and right time, it would benefit the team greatly. That explains why players like Makelele, Mascherano and recently, Flamini are so important to their teams. By saying the statement above, i just want my men not to concede STUPID fouls. For example, if an opponent is having the ball in the penalty box and poses no danger to your team. Yet, somehow, your defender fouls him and concedes a penalty. Would that foul be worthy of the consequences that follow??? Another example is that in the game reported above, one of my player got SENT OFF after recieving 2 yellow cards. the first one for pulling opponent's short off (YES, you heard it right) and the second one for a needless foul on their half. Stupid Things like that would only make the team suffer and as often as possible, we have to avoid them. SO ARE YOU CLEAR ABOUT THIS OR I HAVE TO DRAW IT OUT TO EXPLAIN TO YOU, YOU FUCKING RETARD??

2. what's with the statement saying that i would get my leg broken one day? is it a threat or something? I have played soccer like that ALL MY LIFE. those who know me would know that im not a malicious kind of person so IF you want to break my legs, you are more than welcome to try and we will see how it goes.

3. I think you are just another pussy who have read too much of those newspaper articles and never in fact played a competitive game before in your life. All those rantings about fouling an opponent being 'Coward' and ' morally reprehensible' shit from you are just just pure imagination from the Press. In an ideal world, Football would be an uber-sexy sport if we can cut out all those fouls. Yet, we all know it is impossible. So pls quit being such a pussy, go and ask your MAMA to give you money to buy a pair of boots and get on the field. Try staying there for 10 minutes without your mama by your side and we will see how long you can last ya?

4. Would you have the courtesy to leave your name instead of posting as an Anonymous User. Or else, one day i will get my leg broken by a fucking Pussy-cum-anonymous-user and that would be fucking scary.

5. This is the last comment im gonna post regarding this issue. IF you are still not clear about all the things i said above, i have some suggestions for you my dear friend. Try to do an IQ test ya? if your score is like 20 then YOU REALLY NEED HELP.

Can't agree w/ CvU more. Not that because he is a capt and I have to lick his pussy, oops, forgot, he doesn't have one, should be "lick his boot" to get my position in the starting 11. Like him, I've been playing soccer "ALL MY LIFE". And soccer is the 1st runner-up in my hobby list. Foul is unavoidable in soccer. Most of the people who like to watch soccer may be because of the dazzler dribbling skills or good looking face, sexy body of those like Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo (both Brazillian & Portugese), Beckham, etc. However, there are always at least 1 unsung hero who do all the dirty jobs in the successful team. No need to count and name them there. Because as CvU said, if u know soccer well enough, u already knew them; otherwise, even if I name them there, it would not ring a bell to u.

Being small in size (yah, only asian guys said "size does not matter", but in fact, SIZE DOES MATTER), we Fighting C0ckers usually get all the foul and bully from the big boys. Complains to ref usually fall to deaf ears. We cannot match them in terms of "a foul for a foul" as we play better soccer than them. By just throwing ourselves to foul them will destroy our flow of playing, commit unnecessary fouls, or like what CvU said, stupid fouls. But it doesn't mean to give up, suffered silently. What we need is a few guys who do the dirty jobs. Showing the opponents that we are not soft pussy who can easily get wet by just a few strokes, rubs. We are Fighting COCKS, who will get harder by being touched, pulled, squeezed. Of course, no cocks can stand forever. After the game, after the satisfaction of "ejaculation" by shooting lots of balls into the opponent's nets, we'll become soft again.

To me, playing rough is firstly, to protect ourselves. If the opponent want to come and break my legs, they have to think twice if they know I am fully prepared to do the same to them. Secondly, to protect our teammates. If the opponent want to come and break their legs, they have to think twice if they know that they will get back the same thing from other players in Fighting C0cks. Please bear in mind that soccer is not ballet dancing, soccer is a team full-contact game. It's only lose out to rugby and american football in terms of bloody and violence. In case u cannot differentiate different kinds of sports, martial art are personal full-contact game, while volley ball is team non-contact game.

Btw, from the info I can gather, it seems like the famous "Anonymous" is a female and related to at least one (or several) of our players. "Totally outsiders" may not know about our blogs. Even if they know, they won't bother to check our blog and start the argument with us. To start an argument out of nowhere is female's nature.
